… this summer was Big.
no, it wasn’t hotter
or rainier…
and there were no more stars
and clouds in June, then usually…
the summer was Big.
it didn’t scare –
it blew you off your feet immediately.
it didn’t tease you
with ghostly hopes,
but opened the secret door at once.
the real scales of events were blurred
and distances were evolved by some new,
irrational senses.
long routes stopped being measured
in kilometers, but
in opportunities
to cover them.
the time either dragged on
extremely slowly,
or happened to be compressed into
almost nothing…
this summer was Big.
it brought the old friends back
it helped to avoid the inevitable
and to accomplish the impossible.
BIG SUMMER…
